Our space is available for private events and functions and can accommodate 25 guests comfortably, and our absolute maximum is 30 guests.

The great thing about pinball is you can play it however you want to! At the most basic level, there's a ton of satisfaction just mashing on the flippers! The newer games have complicated storylines and missions to complete - but don't let that intimidate you! As you learn how to play the game, the best advice is to aim for what's lit up or flashing. The older games are simply about hitting targets to collect points. If you want to participate in the Stern Leaderboards, you will need a free Stern Insider Connected account - simply download the app and set up an account and scan into the game when you play. The app will also track your own progress and high scores on all Stern Insider Connected games. We are always happy to help you get set up - just ask at the front desk. Note that an account is not a requirement to play any Stern Insider Connected games but is a requirement to show up on the published Leaderboards. If you have any questions about the games, we are here to help - just ask us!

Yes, you're welcome to bring outside food - we just ask that you keep the arcade tidy if bringing any food. We also allow BYOB - however, underage drinking is prohibited, and any alcohol on premises must be consumed responsibly and inside the building only. Consuming alcohol in the parking lot is prohibited. If bringing outside food and drink please be respectful of other guests visiting the arcade.

Yes - we encourage the younger generation to enjoy pinball and classic arcade games! We even have step stools available for convenience.

Families are welcome at all times! However on Sunday afternoons we offer family friendly "Happy Hour" pricing for guests arriving between 2pm and 4pm - everyone pays kids price ($12) and there is no time limit to how long you can stay!

For open play, we accept cash, all major cards and Apple Pay / contactless on the door for your convenience. Private parties can be booked online through our website.

The regular entry fee of $15 is applicable to all guests regardless of intent to play, consistent with Free Play arcades across the country.

We are open Friday 5:30pm-10:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 2:00pm-9:00pm! Last admission is 1 hour before closing - we recommend guests come early to take full advantage of unlimited play! As much as we'd love to play arcade games 7 days a week, private rentals of our arcade can be booked during times we aren't open to the public. In addition, we spend time during the week maintaining the games to ensure a great experience for your visit!

Our arcade is small, yet ironically is the largest single collection of pinball machines available to the general public in the State of Hawaii. This isn't just another retro arcade with disinterested staff and broken games. At HI Score, we are passionate about well maintained games and providing a great experience for our guests. Come down and talk story with the owner!

We're in the process of setting up our new Karaoke space in a separate unit - the project ran way behind schedule! But finally some good news! We are currently accepting bookings starting late March directly through our website! We also still offer Karaoke as part of private bookings - the equipment is set up in the arcade and ready to go!

Sunset Plaza has 3 parking lots. We are located in the middle parking lot. However, you are welcome to park in any lot as all businesses in the plaza can be reached on foot.

All our maintenance is done in house and we work hard to provide a quality gaming experience. Please let us know if there is anything with the games that need addressing! At this time we regret we are not offering game repair to the general public due to a backlog of projects, as much as it kills us to know of broken games!

Sometimes - We are currently offering for sale the Jumping Jack pinball machine, priced at $700. This machine is currently on the arcade floor and can be played. To purchase, just ask in store! As we curate the collection, we may only be looking for specific titles. We are interested in purchasing classic video game cabinets (original).
